July haul video/review

Hi dolls!

I filmed a haul video last month and I honestly don't know why I waited till now to put it up *coversface* In the video, I basically just tell you guys what makeup items I copped, where you can get them and thoughts on some I had used prior to the video.
Of all the stuff you'll be seeing in the video, the Elf cream eyeshadow in black licorice was my least favourite. I use it as a base because it tends to spill after a while, but it's manageable.
Also, I got the Elf stipple brush with the intention of using it to apply foundations, but it's way too scanty and doesn't blend creamy formulas i.e foundations, creme to powders, etc well into the skin. The Elf powder brush however works great with creamy formulas, so I don't feel too bad about the stipple brush. I now use the stipple brush to apply blushers as seen in some of my videos.
The NYX lipglosses are fantastic! I already had  2 of them and they are both really good; I knew I needed to top up my collection. My favourite NYX lipglosses at the moment are Natural (which is like a nude colour) and Capuccino (the name says it all)

Let me know what you dolls think!

Mini Haul from Konga/Review of products

Hi dolls! From time to time, I will be showing you guys products that I buy, where I got them, prices and my thoughts after usage (reviews). All products were purchased on the Konga site, www.konga.com Let me know if you want more haul posts! Enjoy!

Revlon Illuminance cream eyeshadow-
Passion Fusion (the one with purples) and Eternal Summer. I've tried only the Eternal Summer and I'm not too happy with the pay off. I used the shimmery orange gold colour as an eyeshadow base and it was *blehh* I'll try it out as a face highlighter and let you guys know how it went
Urban Decay Lashes- Hot number
This has to be the worst lashes ever! The weft was too thick to even glue on even after I tried trimming it a little. I Love the way it looks though but it's no use if it can't be used. This was about N1,350. I don't know if this is how all Urban Decay Lashes are, but this was more or less a waste :(
Revlon Lipstick- Sienna
Payoff is amazing! I only had it on for about 3hrs and I didn't need to touch even though I kept sipping white wine from a glass. This cost me N1,000
Revlon tweezers and Lash curlers.
Both get the job done! The tweezers are sharp and slanted to ease tweezing. Love it! They cost about N1,000 or less (not sure)
Revlon eyebrow styling gel.
LOVE this product! I have been using one from Jordana for years now, but this beats that hands DOWN! Cost N750
Revlon Colorstay lipliner- Mauve.
Love the colour but it has a bit of shimmer to it which is a bit weird. If you have very full lips, you might want to stay away from this. However, I like that it can pretty much be used with any Lipstick colour. It cost N1,000

A touch of Red!

Hi dolls!
A few weeks ago, a friend of mine gave me the Maybelline color tattoo eyeshadow and I was uber excitedd! Although I've used it a couple of times, I realised I had never filmed with it. Hence, I decided to create an easy look using it as a base for my eyelid and crease colours. I added a bit of a shimmery grey and red colours to spice it up. Here are some pictures of what it looked like!

P.S Red is such a beautiful eyeshadow colour! (at least when applied properly, lol) Don't forget to tell me what you think *mauh*

How to clean makeup brushes

Hi dolls! Happy sunday to you all! what's everyone doing today? I got a request from a viewer to do a post on how to clean makeup brushes, so I'm just going to tell you guys how I clean mine.

1. I wet the hairs of my brushes with warm water with the hairs facing downwards so water doesn't get into the handles or metal part

 2. Add a little shampoo and run brushes through them, gently squeezing out dirt from the hairs. I normally use Elf brush shampoo or the Pantene hair shampoo. You can honestly use any mild hair shampoo, baby shampoo or even a shower gel.

3. Once they've had a good bath, I rinse off all soap and dry with a clean towel.

4. Then I spray the Elf daily brush cleaner unto brush hairs, clean again with a towel and leave out to air dry.

The good thing about the Elf daily brush cleaner as the name suggests, is that it can be used daily. Just spray unto brush hairs and wipe against a clean cloth or towel and leave to dry. Surprisingly, it dries off quickly as opposed to when you actually wet, wash and rinse. Plus I love the aloe smell it's got!

How do you dolls clean your brushes?

OOTD! Denim and Burnt Orange

Morning dolls! Seeing as I got positive feedback on my first "Outfit of the Day" post, I'm definitely going to be doing more of that now.
Today was quite tricky as I really couldn't think of what to wear. In such situations, I always just go for leggings and a cute blouse and look for how to spice it up somehow but because I work, (I work part-time at an entertainment branding firm) I went for jeans instead. So here's what I'm wearing today, let me know what you guys think!

Yaay or Nayy?

Hi dolls! I came across this beautiful picture of Nike Osinowo on the cover of Style Mania magazine, on Bella Naija and I instantly fell in love! Her makeup is so chic and classy and can be rocked both during the day, and at night. Her face is well contoured and highlighted in the right areas. To be honest, it's not just the makeup, her hair also caught my eyes; it looks extremely healthy, properly blown out and professionally cut (extra plus). What I love most is that there's not so much going on and the nude lips nailed it! lool If you know me personally, I mostly rock nude/brownish lipsticks! (ok, and pinks too) dead for them! lool
Anyways, what do you guys think of her makeup?

Yaay or Nayy?
Definitely a Yaay for me! muah!

Review: Konga.com!

Hi dolls! For those of you who follow me on twitter, I'm sure you noticed how I've been going on and on about Konga.com. I randomly found whilst doing my usual net surfing.
I've ordered twice from them and my experiences both times were very satisfactory. They offer quite a wide variety of brands , however not so many products. I was also very impressed with the customer service, even after a mix up with my address, it was clarified almost immediately.

This is what the packaging looked like:

These are the items I got:
Ardel Lashes
UrbanDecay After glow blush- Greed
Revlon- Pink Velvet and L'oreal
W7 eyebrow pencil- brown and Maybelline XXL pro  mascara

Nicki Clarke  Hiar dryer with 4 nozzles

Their fast delivery, amazing prices and excellent customer service, I will definitely recommend them anytime!
