The price was wayy over inflated but I bought it anyway at the Gifty's daughter stand.

Just In!

Hi dolls!

As you all know, I’m forever buying makeup so I’m very excited to be doing this post. This time however, these items were sent to me by the famous Konga.com! I was over joyed when I learnt I was getting them for free! (Keep buying! You just might be lucky. lol) Anyway, I was sent four items, 2 of which I find quite interesting and you'll know why in a bit

1. Urban Decay Lipstick in Gravity

I've never tried any lipstick from the Urban Decay range so I
was glad I got this. As seen below, I have already used the product
and it's been good so far, but I'll do a proper review on it and the other products in a separate post.

Urban Decay Lipstick - Gravity

2. Revlon Total Control Face Cream

I'm very particular about what I use on my face because I HATE
the thought of breakouts and allergies. That's why I described this product
as interesting. However, it says oil control for 24 hours! So I'll definitely try this out

3. X Factor NaturalMinerals Foundation

This is the second product I found interesting simply because I usually just
go for liquids and cream foundations. I know for sure mineral products are usually
lighter (light-medium coverage) which means they actually just enhance one's face rather
than cover up or mask it.

X Factor mineral foundation in 60 sand

4. Urban Decay 'Whipped' cream shadow

LOVE this product even though I haven't exactly used it. I tested it on the back of my palm and it was HIGHLY pigmented so I'm pretty excited about this one

ALL products are on the Konga site www.konga.com

Over the weekend, one of my favourite clients, Moet Abebe hired me to do her makeup for the Headies Awards. She wore a beautiful halter neck dress from TiannahStyling. tiannah Stylins is owned by Toyin Lawani and her designs are GORGEOUS! I'll try to see if I can find some of her work and put on here.
Here are some before and after pictures of Moet

LBD!

Hi dolls!

Thanks to Jibbi, I went to Indigo's boutique sometime last month and picked up this gorgeous black peplum dress. I'm not really into peplum dresses but I do have a few peplum tops. However, this dress doesn't come in the regular pelum style that cuts round the waist, it cuts one third on each side leaving the middle one third plain. Different right?
It also has a slightly-low back cut and the V-cut in front accentuates the bust area! (Perfect for those of us who aren't so blessed in that region, LOL) The material is gorgeous and scrupled, and the length makes it even perfect! Here's how I rocked it

Review: Real Technique brushes!

Hi dolls!

I'm so excited to be doing this post as I've wanted these brushes for a LONG time! Allow me to rant about them lool
These beautiful babies you see below are called Real Techniques and they're by Samantha Chapman (popular makeup artist/youtube blogger). Most youtube bloggers I'm subscribed to are fans of the brushes, so you can imagine my excitement!
Unfortunately, they cannot be purchased in Nigeria at the moment :( so I had to wire money to a friend to help me purchase them. I got the Core selection and the starter set and they each cost £22 (N5742) per set even though it says $18 on the website.

P.S The captions show the names of the individual brushes and what I use them for

Core Selection  set
-Contour brush (to contour)
                                    - Pointed  foundation brush (to apply concealer)
                              - Detailer brush (to neaten and sculpt brows)
                - Buffing brush (to apply foundation)
Starter set
                           - Crease brush (to blend and apply transition colours)
  - Liner brush (to apply cream/gel liners)
    - Angle brow brush (to define eyebrows)
                   - Shadow base brush (to apply eyeshadow base)

The Real Technique brushes are made from Taklon bristles, hence they are synthetic and so, cruelty-free. Before I got them, I was using the Elf powder brush to apply foundations whether creamy or liquid and tbh, the Real Techniques buffing brush works the magic! It works the product well into my skin and dries faster than the Elf after being washed.

 Pros:
1. The brushes look pretty expensive
2.They're also very convenient and comfortable
3. Brush hairs DO NOT shed
4. Crease brush can be used as a blending brush and even concealer brush

Cons:
1. Starter set doesn't have an eyelid brush

More pros than cons! Definitely worth every naira spent! My favourite brushes have to be the contour and buffer brush(for liquid and creamy foundations)
